This solar turtle trap works on the desire of the turtle to sun bathe. No bait is needed. The turtle walks up the end flap and falls into the holding area. The trap ships flat and is easily assembled using the hog rings or the zip ties which are included. Detailed instructions included. 20" wide by 28" long x 13" deep. Each wing is 13" long.

We normally drop ship this directly to the customer which is the most economical option. We do keep some in stock for immediate pick up at a higher price.

I put the trap in the water Saturday afternoon. No turtle Sunday, but Monday there was a good sized turtle in the trap. I'm pleased with the trap.

I bought this trap based on the reviews. I have had it in my pond- which is over ran with turtles- and havent caught a single turtle. It has been sitting for 3 weeks- nothing.

Smarter Turtles

Guess our turtles are smarter in Florida. Haven't been able to catch a single one regardless of different baits tried. Easier to catch with a dip net and bread as bait. Not a good purchase for the price.

I'm trying to catch a painted turtle, but so far no luck. I baited the trap with lettuce leaves but no bite yet. I think the turtle is too smart!

Follow the directions it works

I was very skeptical of this trap I tried others before. But I'm very happy with it. Follow the directions and place it away from the bank mine Is about 25 feet. It takes about three weeks for them to get used to it but then it works and so easy. I've got 14 in about six weeks

It works great. I put it together and put it in the water. I caught 12 turtles the very first day. What I like about it is you don't have to put any kind of bait in it. The Sun does all the work.
